PEWARTA.CO.ID – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto extended his congratulations to Donald Trump for winning the 2024 United States presidential election, which projects Trump as the 47th President of the United States.
The congratulatory message was shared on Prabowo’s social media account on platform X (@prabowo), observed and translated from Jakarta on Wednesday evening.
In his message, Prabowo expressed his well-wishes in English and emphasized his hope for strengthening strategic cooperation between Indonesia and the United States under Trump’s forthcoming leadership.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Mr. @realDonaldTrump for being elected as the 47th President of the United States of America,” Prabowo wrote on his verified X account.

The 2024 U.S. Election Results
In the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Republican candidate Donald Trump is projected to have defeated his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, who is currently serving as Vice President.
According to quick count data from Fox News as of the evening of November 6, Jakarta time, Trump garnered 277 electoral votes, surpassing the 270 votes needed to secure victory.
Trump's win was notably influenced by his success in Wisconsin, a state with 10 electoral votes. Previously supportive of Joe Biden in the 2020 election, Wisconsin shifted its support to Trump in this election.
Wisconsin was one of three states that changed allegiance to Trump, ultimately securing his path back to the presidency.
Trump's victory signals the return of Republican leadership to the White House, which Prabowo Subianto views as an opportunity to deepen bilateral relations and foster stability on the global stage.
