PONOROGO, PEWARTA.CO.ID - In a surprising turn of events, 23 candidates for the Civil Service Selection (CPNS) from the Ponorogo Regional Government have decided not to participate in the Basic Competency Selection (SKD) for 2024. Instead, they plan to utilize the scores obtained from their previous CPNS test in 2023.
Ahmad Zamroni, the Head of Planning, Procurement, Data Management, and ASN Information Systems at BKPSDM Ponorogo, confirmed this decision on Monday, October 21, 2024.
“There are 23 participants or CPNS applicants who will not be taking the SKD,” Zamroni stated, as quoted by Tribun Jatim.
He elaborated that the applicants opting out of this year's SKD have chosen to rely on their scores from last year's examination.
“Yes, it is true that they are using the scores from 2023. So, the scores being utilized are from the tests conducted last year,” he added.
Zamroni emphasized that these 23 applicants could apply for different positions than they had chosen in 2023.
“The positions applied for in 2023 and 2024 can be different; what must remain the same are the educational qualifications required for the positions applied for,” he explained.
He clarified that the candidates who are skipping the SKD in 2024 are not those who participated in the previous recruitment, as there were no CPNS positions available in Ponorogo in 2023.
“We did not disclose their scores (of the 23 applicants) because there were no CPNS positions in Ponorogo last year,” Zamroni asserted.
According to regulations, candidates who pass the administrative selection can use their SKD scores from the previous year. This is in accordance with the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform's Decree No. 321 of 2024, which states that there are 110 questions in the 2024 SKD. This includes 30 questions on National Insight (TWK), 35 questions on General Intelligence (TIU), and 45 questions on Personal Characteristics (TKP).
The cumulative passing score for the SKD has been set at 550, broken down as follows: TWK minimum score is 150, TIU is 175, and TKP is 225.
Conditions for using 2023 SKD scores
Applicants wishing to use their 2023 SKD scores must meet several conditions. First, they must use the same National Identification Number (NIK) as when they registered for last year's selection. Furthermore, they need to apply for the same educational level as that used in the 2023 CPNS selection.
Additionally, they can choose the same or different positions from those applied for previously, and they may apply to the same or different institutions. The 2023 SKD scores must also meet the established passing scores for the 2024 CPNS selection.
Preparations for CPNS applicants
Prior to this decision, the CPNS applicants in Ponorogo who had passed the administrative selection were preparing for the SKD. According to the plan, a total of 7,182 applicants will participate in the test, with 2,268 of them taking the test at locations outside Madiun City, while 4,914 others will take the test at the Hajj Dormitory in Madiun City.
The test schedule at the Hajj Dormitory in Madiun City is set to take place from November 1 to November 4, 2024, while participants testing at external locations will adjust their schedules according to the applicable guidelines.
